Brake Service & Repair
Brakes are the single most important safety factor in your car. Keeping the brakes in tiptop shape gives you greater safety and peace of mind.
Some warning signs that indicate that you should have the brakes inspected include, your vehicle looses grip when braking, pulls to the side when braking, the brake pedal is low, hard, soft or spongy, the vehicle pulsates or shudders when you brake, the brakes screech or squeal when applied or the vehicle takes longer to stop than normal.
The braking system of your vehicle is a complex system of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components. All parts must work together correctly all of the time for safe stopping. Regular and complete inspections are important to finding your car’s brake problems before they become serious. A thorough brake inspection should be performed whenever you experience any of the above symptoms or if the brake light or ABS light comes on.
Coolant System
Cooling system failure is the number one cause of automotive breakdowns. The cooling system is comprised of many different components. Failure of any one could result in an overheating condition.
Coolant system service includes checking the radiator and cap, belts and hoses, coolant, water pump and thermostat. Warning signs that indicate a problem are antifreeze/coolant leaks, temperature gauge is higher than normal, warning light on the dashboard, overheating engine (steam from beneath the hood), and poor heating or air conditioning performance.
We offer a vast range of car coolant services - we can do a coolant flush or repair your coolant system.
Engine Diagnostics
Vehicles today have powertrains that are sophisticated and complex. Performing routine maintenance will help you keep your car's performance in top shape, but if a problem does occur, engine performance diagnostics are the first step in finding and fixing the problem.
Warning signs that you may need engine diagnostic service include, illumination of the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light, poor gas mileage, hesitation or reduced power, stalling and hard starting.
Sometimes your car just needs a tune up, but "Tune-up" can mean many different things. Our certified technicians use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to diagnose the problem and provide a complete estimate of the work before any repairs are performed. If your vehicle does require diagnostic services, we follow a thorough process to make car repair friendly to our customers. The steps are:

Oil Change
Oil keeps your vehicle lubricated, cool and clean. As soon as you start your car, oil begins lubricating your engine. Additives within the oil help cool and reduce friction between internal moving parts. Old oil is less effective at cooling and lubricating. It is not as effective as cleaning away dirt and contaminants and can cause premature engine wear.
To keep your oil clean and your engine running optimally,
If your oil has not been changed in over 3,000 miles, bring it to First Choice Auto Service Center for a quick and oil change.
Shocks & Struts
The shocks and struts control the ride of a vehicle and keep the wheels in contact with the road. Worn shocks or struts could jeopardize your ability to stop, steer or maintain your vehicle's stability.
Warning signs that indicate a problem include your vehicle "nose dives" when you apply the brakes, excessive bouncing after hitting a road bump, you have uneven tire wear, you see fluid leaking from the shock or strut, your shock or strut is dented or damaged, the mounts or bushings are broken or worn, your vehicle has a bumpy or shaky ride and your steering is stiff or makes noises when turning.
Most manufacturers recommend shock or strut inspection every 12 months of 12,000 miles. A wheel alignment is suggested after strut installation.
